Bringing the first 1,000 days of life to the forefront
November 16-18, 2018, REAP co-hosted Parenting the Future: International Conference on Early Childhood Development in Rural China with Alibaba in Xi'an, China. Over the course of three days we dove into new research studies within China and internationally. Conference attendees participated in thought-provoking discussions and had the opportunity to visit one of REAP's Parenting Centers in Ningshan on the final day of the conference. The conference was covered by over 30 Chinese media outlets helping to publicly broadcast the issue of early childhood development in rural China and international research finds and recommendations surrounding the current situation.
